The role

Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom is seeking an Associate to join its M&A and Private Equity practice in London. This role is for an individual with 2-4 years of PQE, focusing on financial sponsor transactions globally.

What you'll do

Focus time on financial sponsor transactions in the UK, Europe and globally
Communicate directly with clients
Take a leading role in the drafting of sophisticated transaction documentation

What we're looking for

2-4 years post-qualification experience

Solid financial sponsor experience

Experience drafting and negotiating locked box and completion accounts SPAs

Experience drafting management incentive documents, including leaver terms

Experience drafting shareholders' agreements, NDAs, engagement letters, disclosure letters, diligence reports and other ancillary documents

Experience with the structuring of financial sponsor transactions

Experience reviewing and commenting on funds flows

Excellent written communication and drafting skills

Ability to demonstrate initiative

Skills to take on a high degree of responsibility

Ability to manage a challenging workload within a fast-paced and friendly environment

Desire to get involved in marketing, knowhow and pro-bono initiatives

High level of academic achievement

Experience in the London market or with experience in a similar common law jurisdiction
