The role

Baker Botts is seeking a Junior Real Estate Associate with 0-2 years of experience to join their Real Estate practice in Dallas or Houston. This role is for an individual interested in developing a broad-based commercial real estate practice, working on sophisticated transactions for institutional investors, developers, lenders, and corporate clients.

What you'll do

Work with major institutional investors, developers, lenders, and corporate clients on sophisticated transactions
Handle all aspects of commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions and dispositions, development, financings, leasing, and joint ventures
Gain exposure to complex transactions involving institutional capital and capital-intensive development and financing projects
Work alongside experienced lawyers on high-value matters
Build the skills to take increasing ownership of transactions and client relationships

What we're looking for

0-2 years of experience

Demonstrated interest in building a practice in commercial real estate

Strong interpersonal, organizational, analytical, and writing skills

Excellent attention to detail

Ability to manage multiple assignments while collaborating effectively as part of a team

Strong academic background

Sound judgment

Eagerness to learn and take on increasing responsibility

Prior real estate transactional experience is a plus· nice to have
