The role

McDermott Will & Schulte is seeking a Private Client Associate with 2-5 years of experience for their Miami office. This role focuses on wealth management and estate planning, supporting senior attorneys in drafting documents and advising clients.

What you'll do

Draft standard and sophisticated estate planning documents
Provide support on structuring and implementing wealth-transfer strategies under the guidance of senior attorneys
Assist with estate administration
Assist with the preparation, review, and filing of federal gift and estate tax returns

What we're looking for

2-5 years of experience in Private Client or Wealth Management

Experience drafting standard and sophisticated estate planning documents

Experience providing support on structuring and implementing wealth-transfer strategies

Exposure to estate administration

Experience assisting with the preparation, review, and filing of federal gift and estate tax returns

Experience with domestic estate, gift, and income tax planning

Ability to excel in a fast-paced, collaborative, and client-focused practice

Strong organizational skills

Ability to maintain productive relationships with clients and co-advisors

Excellent writing, speaking, research, and analytical abilities

Strong academic background

Admitted to the Florida Bar, or willing to sit for the next Florida Bar examination

Experience with international income, gift and estate tax planning· nice to have
