Senior Associate, Real Estate - Property Development at Maddocks

The role

Maddocks is seeking a Senior Associate for their Real Estate - Property Development team in Melbourne, Australia. This role is for an experienced property lawyer with 7+ years of PQE, focusing on complex development projects for leading developers.

What you'll do

Play a key role in leading matters
Manage client relationships
Mentor junior lawyers
Work closely with Partners on complex and high-profile development projects
Contribute to business development initiatives
Contribute to industry engagement
Contribute to the continued growth of the practice

What we're looking for

Approximately 5-7+ years' PQE in property law with strong experience in property development matters

Demonstrated experience managing complex transactions and providing strategic, commercially focused advice to clients

A genuine passion for the property development sector and a strong understanding of the development lifecycle

Experience supervising, mentoring and developing junior lawyers

Strong client relationship management skills and a commitment to delivering exceptional client service

Excellent drafting, negotiation and project management capabilities

A proactive and collaborative approach, with the ability to work effectively across large, multidisciplinary teams
