The role
Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer is seeking a Solicitor, Trademarks with 3+ years of PQE to join their leading IP practice in Melbourne or Sydney. This role will focus on trademark prosecution, portfolio management, and related advisory work for national and international clients, working closely with senior IP partners.
What you'll do
- Undertake Australian and international trademark filing and prosecution
- Manage trademark portfolios
- Provide rebranding and clearance advice
- Draft and negotiate consents and co-existence agreements
- Advise on intellectual property aspects of due diligence
- Provide support on trademark and domain name disputes
What we're looking for
3+ years of demonstrable experience across trademark prosecutions from a leading national or international private practice, or an in-house environment
Admission as a Lawyer in Australia or New Zealand
An excellent academic record coupled with strong legal skills and a practical mindset
A proactive approach and desire to be an integral member of our leading and supportive team
An ability to work to tight timeframes, collaboratively and at times autonomously
Excellent communication skills and ability to demonstrate collegiality within a team
Have a hunger to learn and develop, and be part of maintaining a market-leading practice
An innovative mindset, curious about AI and emerging technologies
