The role

Norton Rose Fulbright is seeking a mid-senior level Associate for its Derivatives practice in London. This role is for a collaborative, highly motivated lawyer to advise on a wide range of complex derivatives transactions.

What you'll do

Advise on a wide range of derivatives matters (conventional and Shariah-compliant)
Advise on structured derivatives and repo transactions
Negotiate and document various derivative products
Advise on structured finance transactions
Advise on regulatory matters
Engage in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex legal agreements, including trade confirmations, ISDA master agreements, credit support documentation, and derivative trading agreements

What we're looking for

Qualified as a solicitor in England & Wales

Experience at a top-tier UK, US, or international law firm, with a focus on derivatives and structured finance

A strong academic background, with a solid understanding of derivatives products and financial markets

Experience in drafting, negotiating, and advising on ISDA agreements, master agreements, and related documentation

Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage complex transactions with a high level of accuracy

Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to interact confidently with clients and senior stakeholders

Strong commercial awareness and the ability to think strategically in a dynamic and rapidly evolving legal landscape

Candidates with experience from other jurisdictions may also be considered· nice to have

A proactive, solutions-oriented attitude, with a willingness to learn and tackle new challenges· nice to have
