Associate: Real Estate

The role

White & Case is seeking a Real Estate Associate with 3-5 years of experience for their New York/Chicago office. This role will focus on transactional real estate matters, providing support on complex deals and client management within the firm's market-leading Real Estate Practice.

What you'll do

• Support in various aspects of transaction preparation, including conducting legal research, drafting filings, and other related documents such as term sheets and purchase agreements
• Assist in developing transactions strategies by analyzing legal issues and contributing to strategy discussions with senior lawyers
• Support in due diligence process by reviewing and analyzing financial statements, contracts and other relevant documents
• Coordinate various aspects of transaction processes, manage timelines, and ensure that all necessary steps are completed efficiently
• Manage case files, organizing case materials and ensuring deadlines and procedural requirements are met
• Work towards development of transactions legal skills and expertise in the field
• May co-ordinate work of more junior members of the team
• Help coach and develop more junior lawyers
