Associate - Corporate at Hill Dickinson

The role

Hill Dickinson is seeking a Corporate Associate with 2-4 years of PQE to join their M&A team in Leeds. This role offers an excellent opportunity for ambitious lawyers to progress quickly and gain early exposure to clients, with a focus on Mergers and Acquisitions work.

What you'll do

Support on mergers or acquisitions or disposal transactions for corporate clients
Support/lead acquisition and disposal of business and assets and/or shares
Support on public company transactions, such as IPO’s or equity fundraisers
Support/lead due diligence exercises, data room reviews or management and disclosure processes
Prepare and finalise disclosure letters and supporting bundles
Support on and review investment documents either acting for investing institutions or management teams on PE backed transactions or placing agreements
Draft and negotiate the terms of transaction ancillary documents
Undertake general corporate work including corporate restructurings, shareholders agreements, joint ventures and limited liability partnership agreements
Assist with business development and tenders including research about clients and targets
Gain early exposure to clients

What we're looking for

Qualified Solicitor with 2 to 4 years PQE

Strong technical skills and a willingness to learn

Ability to work as part of a team

Excellent communication and client service skills

Excellent attention to detail

Excellent organisational skills

Ability and experience of independently managing a caseload providing sound commercial advice

Adheres to guidelines and procedures

Understanding of clients' needs and expectations

Flexibility in approach and a willingness to work outside normal office hours if required
