Senior Associates/ Junior Partners at CNPLaw

The role

CNPLaw is seeking Senior Associates/Junior Partners with 2-5 years of PQE for its Singapore office. This role involves working across multiple practice areas including Construction, Employment, Litigation, M&A, Real Estate, Tax, and Technology, with a focus on corporate advisory and transactional work.

What you'll do

Support the relevant partner on a diverse range of matters under the umbrella of global mobility, covering the movement of business, assets and human capital to providing advice on corporate restructuring and relocation of manpower (hiring, reassignment and termination)
Support the relevant partner on selected technology services engagements, ranging from a review of contracts to advising on licensing and data protection law matters
Provide legal advice and draft, review and assist with negotiations on a wide array of corporate and commercial documentation (including but not limited to share sale and purchase agreements, asset sale agreements, shareholders’ agreement, joint venture agreements, equity subscription agreements, employment handbook, employment contracts, IT services agreements, and data sharing agreements)
Support the corporate partners on a diverse portfolio of domestic and cross-border transactions from inception to completion (which would cover the areas of Global Mobility, Technology and Data Protection)
Conduct thorough legal due diligence, identifying key risks and providing recommendations
Conduct in-depth legal research and provide clear, concise analysis on points of Singapore law and regulatory framework
Actively participate in the firm’s business development initiatives, including client pitches, seminars and other business development activities

What we're looking for

Admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore

2 to 5 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) gained with a reputable law firm

Demonstrable expertise in Employment Law

Strong exposure to drafting and negotiating various commercial agreements, with a particular interest or exposure to technology contracts and data protection documents

Experience in advising on and executing M&A transactions (buy-side and/or sell-side)

Experience in advising on regulatory compliance, corporate governance and general corporate matters

Proficiency in contract drafting

Good negotiation skills

Legal research capabilities across complex corporate and commercial legal issues

Ability to manage multiple matters concurrently and autonomously, often with tight timelines

Strong capability in thriving in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, consistently delivering high-quality work with meticulous attention to detail and good time management

Highly self-motivated, with a proactive, solution-oriented approach

Candidates without M&A transaction experience will be considered if they have strong drafting and negotiation skills in commercial contracts· nice to have

Candidates with disputes resolution experience or interest in employment law will be considered· nice to have
