The role
A&O Shearman is seeking a Consulting Lawyer for its Derivatives & Structured Finance practice in Hong Kong, requiring 4+ years of PQE. This role is for experienced lawyers looking to undertake consulting assignments with top-tier clients.
What we're looking for
A right to work and reside in Hong Kong
Qualification to practice in at least one of England & Wales, the United States, Hong Kong, Singapore or Australia
A minimum of four years' post-qualification experience at a top tier law firm in this field
Strong technical knowledge and experience, ideally with some Asian experience
Self-starter with a commitment to building a career as a consultant and a drive to achieve at a high level whilst working as a consultant
Adept at leading or working within complex multi-functional, multi-national project environments
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interface at all levels, building strong relationships internally and externally
Client service-focused, with exemplary client service ethic and commitment
Strong commercial/business acumen
Resilient, adaptable, autonomous and highly credible
Advanced organisational skills and diplomacy
Top tier technical experience in OTC transactional and advisory work, securitisations (synthetic and cash), regulatory developments, structured equity financing/corporate equity derivatives, structured credit transactions, or structured commodities
