Associate (2-5 PQE) - Catastrophic Injury/Large Loss

The role

Clyde & Co is seeking a Catastrophic Injury/Large Loss Associate with 2-5 years of PQE to join their Insurance practice group in Bristol or Southampton. This role involves managing a caseload of complex, high-value claims for leading insurer and corporate clients.

What you'll do

• Act on behalf of a range of insurance companies and self-insured commercial organisations
• Assist with and handle a varied caseload
• Carry out investigations, take witness statements, review and interpret medical records and medical reports
• Report to and liaise with clients to achieve the best outcomes
• Comply with client SLAs and MI requirements
• Manage files proactively and strategically, including adhering to court timetables
• Support the Partners in servicing existing clients, growing new business, and maintaining relationships with clients using technical excellence and innovation
• Draft all legal documents and client advice
• Deal with interlocutory proceedings, CCMCs and client meetings
• Support marketing and business development activity with the team and the wider Clyde & Co casualty group
