Associate (4 - 7 years) at Ropes & Gray

The role

Ropes & Gray is seeking an Associate with 4-7 years of PQE to join its Litigation practice in New York. This role is for experienced mid-level litigators with a background in complex commercial and class action litigation, corporate governance, and shareholder disputes.

What you'll do

Manage complex litigation matters
Draft and prepare litigation documents
Conduct legal research
Draft persuasive pleadings, motions, and briefs
Oversee discovery
Participate in mediation and arbitration
Develop and maintain strong client relationships
Mentor and train junior associates

What we're looking for

Four to seven years of litigation experience at a large law firm

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Admitted to practice law in the state of New York

History of academic achievement

Strong work ethic

Outstanding writing proficiency

Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills

Capability to manage multiple assignments while meeting deadlines

Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities

Talent for working both independently and collaboratively

Strong negotiation and advocacy skills

Proficiency in using artificial intelligence technologies responsibly and ethically including the ability to assess appropriate use cases, protect confidentiality, verify outputs, and apply independent legal judgment
