The role

Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton is seeking a Restructuring and Bankruptcy Associate with 3-4 years of PQE for their London office. This role is for a UK-qualified lawyer with strong experience in special situations, restructuring, insolvency, and related financing instruments, and a desire to engage in diverse restructuring and bankruptcy matters.

What we're looking for

UK trained and qualified associate

3 to 4 years PQE

Good experience in all aspects of special situations, restructuring and insolvency with a diverse client base

Good grasp and working experience with key financing instruments, including bank loans, high yield debt and intercreditor arrangements

Good experience with restructuring related proceedings, including experience with working with multiple jurisdictions

Good levels of responsibility

Well developed drafting and negotiation skills

Committed, enthusiastic, driven and versatile

Intellectually outstanding with good team skills

Natural collegiality

Genuine desire and enthusiasm to embrace a broad range of restructuring and bankruptcy work
