The role
Sidley Austin is seeking a transactional associate with 3+ years of experience to join its Energy, Transportation & Infrastructure practice in New York. The role will focus on representing sponsors, developers, investors, and financial institutions in renewable energy and infrastructure finance and M&A transactions.
What you'll do
- Represent sponsors, developers, investors, financial institutions, and other market participants in renewable and energy transition finance and M&A transactions
What we're looking for
3+ years of experience
Experience in project finance and tax equity transactions in the U.S. renewables and power sector
Experience in energy project development, including negotiation of material project agreements (e.g., PPA, EPC, O&M)
Team player with strong interpersonal skills
Ability to manage complex transactions
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Comfortable with client interaction
Admitted to practice law in the local jurisdiction
Prior law firm experience
