The role

Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher is seeking a Lateral Associate – Litigation Attorney with 4-9 years of experience to join their Los Angeles/Century City office. This role focuses on complex litigation and trial work across various substantive areas.

What you'll do

Develop case strategy
Research and draft dispositive and contested motions
Take and defend depositions
Direct discovery and expert workup
Prepare and examine witnesses at trial, arbitration, and evidentiary hearings
Serve as senior members of trial teams
Own the pretrial record
Supervise and develop junior associates

What we're looking for

Law school class years 2017-2022

Top law school credentials

Substantial complex litigation experience

Substantial trial experience

Experience examining or cross-examining witnesses at trial or in arbitration

Experience from private practice or a government trial role

Experience from across the substantive litigation spectrum or government trial practice

Bar admission

District court or appellate court clerkship experience· nice to have
