The role
Hall & Wilcox is seeking an Associate or Senior Associate with 4-8 years of PQE in Corporate Law and Funds Management for their Sydney office. This role focuses on transactional, regulatory, and advisory work within the Corporate & Commercial Section.
What you'll do
- Act for fund managers in structuring and establishing wholesale and retail investment funds
- Act for fund managers and investors (including superannuation funds) on co-investments and joint venture arrangements
- Work on mergers and acquisitions (M&A)
- Work on equity capital markets (ECM) transactions
- Perform transactional and governance work for AFS licensees
- Work on shareholders’ and unitholders’ agreements
- Provide regulatory, compliance and corporate governance advice
What we're looking for
4-8 years of post-admission experience
Experience in corporate law (including M&A) and funds management
Experience from a large or medium sized law firm, or a specialist corporate law practice
Strong legal drafting and analytical skills
Outstanding attention to detail
Excellent written and communication skills
For candidates at the senior end, experience in mentoring, supervising and delegating to junior lawyers
A strong desire to contribute to the growth and success of our corporate and commercial practice
ECM experience will be highly regarded· nice to have
