The role
Cooley is seeking a Financial Services Regulatory associate or special counsel with 5+ years of experience in their Washington D.C. office. This role focuses on advising clients in the fintech, payments, cryptocurrency, and digital assets sectors on complex technology and commercial transactions.
What you'll do
- Work with regulatory and corporate lawyers to help clients structure and launch innovative products and commercial relationships at the intersection of technology and financial services regulation
What we're looking for
5+ years of experience with sophisticated technology and commercial transactions
Experience advising clients in the fintech, payments, cryptocurrency and/or digital assets sectors
Strong academic credentials
Excellent drafting and negotiation skills
Sound commercial judgment
Ability to independently manage sophisticated matters and client relationships
Experience drafting and negotiating complex technology and commercial agreements· nice to have
Experience with transactions involving fintech and digital asset products and platforms· nice to have
Experience at a nationally recognized law firm with a technology transactions, fintech and/or digital assets practice· nice to have
