Legal Director - Private Wealth & Tax

The role

Mishcon de Reya is seeking a Legal Director with 6+ years of experience in Private Wealth & Tax law to join their London office. This role will support a Partner in the Tax and Wealth Planning team, focusing on cross-border tax advice and planning for high-profile individuals and families.

What you'll do

• Work closely with Patrick Harney across a broad caseload of UK personal tax, trust and estate planning matters
• Provide high-quality technical support and independent judgement
• Advise on UK tax planning for formerly non-domiciled and internationally mobile clients
• Support cross-border estate planning for UHNW individuals, families and family offices
• Coordinate with advisers in other jurisdictions as needed
• Help manage the smooth day-to-day running of the practice, including workflow, resourcing, billing oversight and client service standards
• Support business development activity, including client relationship management, proposals, thought leadership and profile-building initiatives
• Supervise and mentor junior lawyers working on shared matters
• Contribute to the technical development of junior lawyers
• Take on personal supervision of an allocated portfolio of matters following promotion to Legal Director
