Associate/Senior Associate, Commercial Technology (4-7 PQE) at Eversheds Sutherland

The role

Eversheds Sutherland is seeking a Senior Associate with 4-7 PQE to join their Commercial Technology team in London, Birmingham, or Cardiff. This role focuses on advising clients on a variety of technology contracts, including IT, outsourcing, and agreements for innovative technologies like AI, and supporting the technology aspects of corporate deals.

What you'll do

Advise on technology contracts for a broad range of customer and supplier clients, including both traditional IT and outsourcing contracts along with contracts for innovative and disruptive technologies including AI systems and services
Advise on technology related regulatory requirements, particularly in relation to the financial services sector and in the context of AI deployment
Support on the technology aspects of corporate deals
Engage in business development initiatives, including speaking at seminars for clients, internal training as well as client briefing papers
Undertake client facing management

What we're looking for

4-7 PQE

Experience of advising on outsourcing and technology contracts

A good grounding in technology and commercial law, connected laws and regulations

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

Ability to communicate effectively at different levels and with clients from a variety of different cultures

Ability to build strong relationships

Detailed knowledge of the contract terms and the key commercial and operational issues with these types of deals

An interest in coaching and supervising more junior members of the team

Experience of advising on the full range of IT and outsourcing contracts· nice to have

A keen interest in technology, including artificial intelligence· nice to have

Experience of artificial intelligence an advantage· nice to have
