Legal Director - Real Estate at Clyde & Co

The role

Clyde & Co is seeking a Senior Associate/Legal Director for its Real Estate practice in Manchester. This role is for an experienced real estate lawyer to handle a variety of high-quality commercial real estate transactions and support the team's growth.

What you'll do

Advise clients on a broad range of commercial real estate transactions
Manage acquisitions, disposals and asset management matters across a variety of asset classes
Advise developers on residential, commercial and mixed-use development projects
Support clients on funding and investment transactions
Negotiate and draft property documentation, including agreements for lease, leases, transfers and ancillary documents
Advise on landlord and tenant matters
Assist with transactions involving contaminated land and redevelopment projects
Build and maintain strong client relationships
Supervise and mentor junior lawyers and trainees
Support business development activities and contribute to the team's profile in the market
Work collaboratively with colleagues across the wider firm and international network

What we're looking for

Qualification as a Solicitor in England & Wales

Significant post-qualification experience within commercial real estate, ideally gained at a leading regional, national or international law firm

Strong technical expertise across a broad range of property transactions

Excellent drafting, negotiation and communication skills

Commercial awareness and a pragmatic approach to client service

Proven ability to manage matters independently while working effectively as part of a team

Experience supervising and developing junior team members

A proactive approach to business development and client relationship management

Experience advising developers and investors would be highly advantageous· nice to have
