The role

Corrs Chambers Westgarth is seeking an Associate with 3-4 years of experience to join its Environment & Planning practice in Perth. This role focuses on advising leading clients on complex environmental, planning, and land use matters, including approvals, native title, and regulatory compliance.

What you'll do

Advise leading project owners, developers and private sector clients on complex environmental and planning approvals, land use and development matters
Advise on native title and Aboriginal cultural heritage and land access matters
Advise on carbon related matters
Advise on regulatory compliance
Advise on strategic risk management for major projects across Australia

What we're looking for

Approximately 3-4 years' post-qualification experience

Experience gained at a leading Australian, international or specialist environment, planning, land use or regulatory practice

Experience advising on environmental approvals, planning, land use, native title, Aboriginal cultural heritage or regulatory matters

Experience in environment, planning and/or Aboriginal cultural heritage and native title law

Experience managing aspects of complex matters and working directly with clients

Strong technical capability combined with commercial judgement, intellectual curiosity and a genuine interest in environment, planning, native title and Aboriginal cultural heritage law

Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a high-performing team

Strong commercial awareness and practical judgement

A collaborative approach and commitment to delivering exceptional client service· nice to have
