Real Estate Lawyer at Baker McKenzie

The role

Baker McKenzie LLP is seeking a Real Estate Lawyer with 3-6 years of PQE to join their highly regarded Real Estate team in Belfast. This role will primarily support the London real estate team, focusing on advising multinational corporations on UK occupational requirements and assisting with real estate investment transactions.

What you'll do

Advise and support leading multi-national corporates with their occupational requirements in the UK
Assist with due diligence and post completion matters
Advise and support on asset management work for institutional investor clients
Assist on all UK real estate investment acquisitions and disposals
Work closely with the London office Banking team to support real estate finance transactions
Work closely with the London office Corporate team in the coordination and implementation of multi-jurisdictional mergers and acquisitions
Work as part of a team and take an active role in sharing knowledge and experience
Manage paralegals in the Belfast office to assist with the work

What we're looking for

3-6 years PQE

Qualified as a solicitor in England and Wales

Substantial experience of commercial real estate gained within an international or city law firm

Good understanding of Land Registry and HMRC processes and forms

Commerciality

Excellent written communication and drafting skills

Initiative and proactivity

Strong service orientation

Ability to develop strong relationships with clients

High work standards

Outstanding communication skills and the ability to adapt style as required

Ability to work well in both a team and individually

English law real estate experience

Experience of complex real estate transactions

Strong analytical skills

Demonstrates a willingness to learn

Good client management skills

Flexible work practices and ability to adapt style as required
