Senior Associate - Major Injury & Casualty

The role

DWF is seeking a Senior Associate for its Major Injury & Casualty team in London. This role is for a legal professional with 5+ years of litigation experience, focusing on high-value defendant claims within personal injury, EL/PL, and motor law.

What you'll do

• Work with the Partners and Legal Directors to manage a caseload of high value claims, comprising of a variety of Defendant Personal Injury, EL/PL, and Motor matters ranging in value from £100,000 – £10m+ in value
• Manage own individual caseload of high value fast-track and multiple-track cases ranging in value from £25k - £250k
• Draft pleadings
• Prepare reports to clients
• Attend court hearings
• Work to court deadlines
• Conduct liability investigations
• Gather evidence
• Instruct experts
• Consider medical causation issues
• Prioritise work effectively and maximise efficiency in working practices
• Adhere to court deadlines and directions, as well as client service level agreements
• Build working relationships internally and externally to maintain client relationships, develop business networks and create a solid understanding of the Firm’s direction and client needs
• Provide support and act as the 'go to person' for more junior members in the team
