Lateral Associate - Asset Management (NY)

The role

Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher is seeking a Lateral Associate with 4-8 years of experience to join their Funds practice in New York. This role focuses on M&A and transactions within the asset management sector, including GP stakes, seed investments, and advisory work for various investment entities.

What you'll do

• Advise asset managers, sponsors, GP stakes funds and institutional investors in connection with acquisitions and dispositions of asset management businesses
• Advise asset managers, sponsors, GP stakes funds and institutional investors in connection with minority and GP stakes investments
• Advise asset managers, sponsors, GP stakes funds and institutional investors in connection with seed and revenue-share arrangements
• Advise asset managers, sponsors, GP stakes funds and institutional investors in connection with strategic partnerships
• Advise asset managers, sponsors, GP stakes funds and institutional investors in connection with joint ventures and other similar transactions
• Advise asset managers, sponsors, GP stakes funds and institutional investors in connection with general corporate matters
• Have significant direct client contact
• Develop relationships with clients
• Manage matters with a high degree of independence
