Lawyer / Senior Associate - Labour, Employment & Workplace Safety

The role

K&L Gates is seeking a Lawyer / Senior Associate with 5 years of PQE to join their Labour, Employment & Workplace Safety practice in Sydney, Australia. The role involves advising and representing employers on a broad range of employment, industrial relations, and workplace safety matters.

What you'll do

• Represent employers in employment-related disputes such as unfair dismissal, discrimination, and general protection claims
• Negotiate, draft and provide advice on employment related documents including, contracts of employment, executive employment arrangements, service agreements and workplace policies
• Advise on compliance with employment laws and strategies for achieving desired client outcomes
• Litigate matters in the State and Federal Courts, Tribunals and Commissions
• Utilise complaint handling and alternative dispute resolution techniques, such as mediation and conciliation
• Develop and deliver internal and external training programs on a range of employment matters
• Participate in business development and client relationship activities
