The role
King & Spalding seeks a Project Finance Associate with 2-3 years of experience for its Finance and Projects practice groups in Denver or New York. This role will focus on sponsor-side project finance transactions within the power, infrastructure, and energy sectors.
What we're looking for
2-3 years of experience as an attorney
Familiarity with project finance or a blend of project and acquisition finance
Experience at a top-tier national or international law firm
Experience with credit, cash waterfall and security documentation
Expertise with diligence of large renewable and conventional power, infrastructure and energy projects
Substantial experience running closings for project finance and acquisition (leveraged) finance transactions
Experience with related bid and commitment papers
A blend of lender and sponsor side experience· nice to have
Experience with tax equity financings· nice to have
Experience with other financings for renewables, transportation infrastructure and conventional power generation· nice to have
Experience with ISDA, EEI and other similar enabling documentation· nice to have
