The role
Stephenson Harwood is seeking a Trade and Commodities Associate to join its London office. This role focuses on litigation and arbitration within the transportation and trade practice area.
What you'll do
- Focus primarily on litigation and arbitration matters
- Co-ordinate proceedings in other jurisdictions when necessary for litigation work
- Assist clients on a variety of off-take, supply, distribution, master, trading, tolling and other agreements
- Assist clients on financing structures, charterparties, and contracts of affreightment
- Broaden skillset to include drafting and advisory work
What we're looking for
Experience in litigation and arbitration matters
Legal skills as a contract lawyer, particularly with respect to the sale, carriage, storage, and financing of goods
