The role
Wilson Sonsini is seeking a Data, Privacy, and Cybersecurity Associate with 3-6 years of experience to join their Technology practice. This role will focus on advising leading companies on complex data, privacy, cybersecurity, and consumer protection regulatory issues.
What you'll do
- Represent clients in high-stakes investigations brought by the FTC and state Attorneys General
- Provide clients with practical advice on how to collect, use, and share data and comply with complex global privacy laws
- Devise thoughtful and effective business and legal responses to security breaches
- Help clients create, enhance, and audit privacy and cybersecurity policies and programs
- Develop and implement global compliance programs
What we're looking for

Strong interpersonal skills
Experience with technology industries
Experience with government regulation and technology
Experience with FTC policy and enforcement regarding privacy and data security issues
Familiarity with computer programming· nice to have
