The role
Harbottle & Lewis is seeking a Music Senior Associate with 5-7 years of PQE to join their Media & Entertainment group in London. This role is for an outstanding music lawyer to advise a diverse client base including labels, artists, and digital music platforms.
What you'll do
- Advise on recording, distribution, publishing, managing and production agreements
- Advise on live events
- Advise on merchandising
- Advise on sponsorship, endorsement and branding arrangements
- Advise on content licensing for new digital music services
- Advise on acquisition and exploitation of music rights in film, television, games and theatre
- Advise on corporate/business structuring
What we're looking for
5 to 7 years PQE
Strong advisory skills
Pragmatic and commercial manner
Strong drafting skills
Negotiating experience
A real understanding of the music industry and the challenges it faces today
Desire and ability to work with other departments
Ability to take an active role in developing the practice
Experience working in-house· nice to have
