Lawyer (2-4PQE) - Workplace Relations, Employment & Safety at Clayton Utz

The role

Clayton Utz is seeking a Lawyer with 2-4 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) to join their Sydney-based Workplace Relations, Employment & Safety team. This role focuses on providing strategic advice and representation across a broad spectrum of employment law matters for a blue-chip client base.

What you'll do

Advise on strategic and sensitive employment matters
Represent clients in employee disputes across various Courts and Tribunals
Advise on whistleblowing
Conduct workplace investigations
Advise on discrimination and harassment
Advise on the enforcement of post-employment restraints
Advise on employment aspects of corporate transactions
Advise on WHS
Advise on modern slavery

What we're looking for

At least 2 years PQE with demonstrated experience working across a range of employment law and workplace relations matters, gained within a reputable commercial law firm

A strong academic record

The drive and confidence to effectively manage a diverse workload with autonomy, while being a collaborative and generous team member

Strong written and verbal communication skills

A genuine enthusiasm for employment law

An appetite for contributing to business development, including building client relationships through networking events, delivering seminars, publishing thought leadership, and enhancing the firm's profile in the market
