Associate - General Insurance & Commercial Disputes

The role

Clyde & Co is seeking an Associate for their General Insurance & Commercial Disputes practice in Melbourne, Australia. This role is for lawyers with experience in insurance litigation and general disputes, with a focus on complex, high-value, and emerging risk claims.

What you'll do

• Assist Partners and other team members on a range of complex and large-scale matters
• Defend directors’ and officers’ liability and professional indemnity insurance claims
• Defend claims involving large construction projects, product and public liability claims and multi-party litigation
• Work with and delegate to junior lawyers
• Help partners/special counsel manage the team and foster teamwork
• Liaise directly with regional and global clients
• Actively participate in business development work
• Supervise discovery
