Lawyer to Associate, Insurance at Sparke Helmore

The role

Sparke Helmore is seeking a Lawyer to Associate with 1-5 years of PQE for its Insurance team in Perth. This role focuses on workers compensation and personal injury matters, advising employers and insurers.

Manage own files with increasing autonomy
Develop strong client relationships
Gain exposure to complex litigation and dispute resolution matters
Provide strategic advice to employers and insurers
Deliver positive outcomes for employers and insurers

What we're looking for

Qualified lawyer with 1–5 years PQE

Experience in workers compensation, insurance, or personal injury law

Demonstrated ability to manage matters autonomously

Ability to build strong client relationships

Ability to provide pragmatic, commercially focused legal advice

Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills

Excellent attention to detail

Collaborative approach to practice

Defendant experience in workers compensation or insurance law· nice to have

Strong plaintiff backgrounds will also be considered· nice to have

Pre-admission experience for newly admitted lawyers· nice to have
