Real Estate, Supervising Lawyer, 7+ Years' PQE, Manchester

The role

Addleshaw Goddard is seeking a Supervising Lawyer with 7+ years' PQE for its Real Estate practice in Manchester. This role focuses on supervising and developing junior lawyers within the team, rather than managing a personal caseload, and involves providing ad hoc supervision on complex transactional work.

What you'll do

• Provide supervision, teaching and coaching to junior lawyers across landlord and tenant, property management, sales and purchases, development and client account work
• Review drafts, provide feedback and help build legal judgement, commercial awareness and confidence of junior lawyers
• Support the delivery of high-quality legal work by providing targeted supervision across live matters
• Help junior lawyers prioritise workloads, manage deadlines and understand their role within the wider transaction
• Provide constructive feedback without carrying a personal caseload
• Work closely with partners and lawyers to foster a strong learning culture
• Identify knowledge gaps and training needs
• Promote the effective use of knowledge resources and legal technology
• Contribute to wider Real Estate and firmwide knowledge, training and innovation projects
• Provide ad hoc fee-earning support to the Manchester Real Estate team, contributing to project work and client matters as required
• Maintain and enhance precedents, playbooks, drafting guidance, checklists and other knowledge resources
• Answer fee-earner queries on a range of topics including Land Registry procedures and technical queries
• Design and deliver training and know-how initiatives, including workshops, updates and practical guidance on core real estate topics, legal developments, market trends and drafting skills
• Capture learning from significant matters and embed it across the team
