Lawyer / Senior Associate - Real Estate at K&L Gates

The role

K&L Gates is seeking a Lawyer or Senior Associate with 4+ years of PQE in Real Estate to join their Sydney team. This role focuses on a mix of contentious and non-contentious construction matters.

What you'll do

Draft and negotiate construction documentation
Provide advice and manage construction disputes including adjudications
Manage litigation matters, primarily in the Supreme Court and in arbitrations across various Australian jurisdictions
Participate in business development and client relationship activities
Contribute to the firm’s learning and development program in your area of expertise
Contribute knowledge and learning resources, including precedents
Support matter management, including estimates, invoicing and fee collection

What we're looking for

At least four years' post-admission experience in construction law

Experience gained at a well-regarded firm or in a sophisticated in-house environment

Commercially astute

Detail-oriented

Collaborative

Demonstrated ability to build effective relationships with internal and external clients

Experience across both contentious and non-contentious construction matters· nice to have
