The role
Mallesons is seeking a Solicitor and Senior Associate with 2-3 years of experience for its Banking & Finance practice group in Melbourne. This role will involve advising major Australian and international clients on a broad range of financing matters.
What you'll do
- Advise major Australian and international clients across a broad range of financing matters, including acquisition finance, project and infrastructure finance, corporate lending, property finance and complex cross-border transactions
- Run matters
- Work directly with clients
- Lead negotiations
- Manage key workstreams on major transactions
- Mentor junior lawyers
- Present at industry related programs
- Manage strategic relationships and networks
What we're looking for
2-3 years of experience
Excellent analytical, communication and research skills
Strong commitment to client service and well-developed relationship management ability
Team focus
Enthusiasm to be involved in business development activities
First rate drafting experience
Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively across complex, fast-paced transactions
Willingness to embrace new technologies, including AI-enabled legal tools
