Legal Director - Corporate

The role

Irwin Mitchell is seeking an experienced Legal Director with a focus on M&A to join their Corporate team in Manchester. This role is ideal for a senior lawyer, such as an ambitious Senior Associate or an established Legal Director, looking to lead significant transactions, build client relationships, and contribute to the growth of the North West practice.

What you'll do

• Lead and manage significant corporate transactions from instruction through to completion
• Advise on a broad range of corporate work, including mergers and acquisitions, private equity and venture capital investments, reorganisations, shareholder arrangements and strategic joint ventures
• Act for a diverse client base including private companies, entrepreneurs, management teams, private equity backed businesses, institutional investors and international organisations
• Support partners on larger strategic matters while taking day-to-day responsibility for transaction delivery
• Build and strengthen client relationships and help to grow our presence across the Manchester market and wider North West region
• Work closely with colleagues across Banking & Finance, Tax, Employment, Real Estate, Commercial and Regulatory to deliver joined-up advice
• Supervise, mentor and develop junior lawyers, helping to build a strong and collaborative National Corporate team
• Contribute to business development, thought leadership and networking across the corporate and private equity communities
