Key requirements
Three to six years of experience at a leading law firm handling Chapter 11 bankruptcies and restructurings General bankruptcy and restructuring experience representing corporate debtors, creditors committees, individual creditors, and third party purchasers Experience working in a corporate restructuring/bankruptcy department of a comparable law firm or experience clerking for a bankruptcy judge Experience in managing client relationships and handling day-to-day requirements and work flow of a variety of clients at different stages of corporate bankruptcy and restructuring matters
The role
Cooley seeks a Business Restructuring & Reorganization Attorney with 3-6 years of PQE for its New York office. This role is part of the Restructuring & Insolvency practice group and will focus on Chapter 11 bankruptcies and corporate restructurings.
What we're looking for
Three to six years of experience at a leading law firm handling Chapter 11 bankruptcies and restructurings
General bankruptcy and restructuring experience representing corporate debtors, creditors committees, individual creditors, and third party purchasers
Experience working in a corporate restructuring/bankruptcy department of a comparable law firm or experience clerking for a bankruptcy judge
Experience in managing client relationships and handling day-to-day requirements and work flow of a variety of clients at different stages of corporate bankruptcy and restructuring matters
High level of academic achievement from a nationally recognized law school
