Senior Associate | Public law | Complex Liabilities, Insurance & Regulation

The role

MinterEllison is seeking a Senior Associate with 5+ years of PQE to join their Public Law team in Sydney. This role will focus on complex liabilities, insurance, and regulation, working closely with Partners Tom Galvin and Sophie Lloyd, and Special Counsel Elle Tattersall on government litigation and administrative law matters.

What you'll do

• Manage a broad caseload of merits and judicial review litigation for Commonwealth clients
• Appear as a solicitor advocate at hearings, conferences and appeals
• Advise government clients on administrative law, statutory interpretation, litigation strategy and decision-making frameworks
• Instruct counsel on complex and high-profile matters
• Build and maintain strong client relationships
• Supervise and mentor junior lawyers
• Contribute to business development, client engagement and team initiatives
