2-3 years of experience in export controls administered by the Bureau of Industry and Security and Directorate of Defense Trade Controls 2-3 years of experience in customs law, including entry, classification and valuation, and other matters within the jurisdiction of U.S. Customs and Border Protection Fluency in written and spoken Mandarin Chinese
The role
Ashurst Perkins Coie is seeking a midlevel International Trade Associate Attorney for its Washington D.C. office. This role focuses on US Export Controls, Tariffs, CFIUS, customs law, economic sanctions, and trade remedy investigations, supporting the firm's Regulatory practice area.
What you'll do
- Support and expand the US Export Controls, Tariffs, and CFIUS practice
What we're looking for
2-3 years of experience in export controls administered by the Bureau of Industry and Security and Directorate of Defense Trade Controls
2-3 years of experience in customs law, including entry, classification and valuation, and other matters within the jurisdiction of U.S. Customs and Border Protection
Fluency in written and spoken Mandarin Chinese
Additional subject matter experience with economic sanctions administered by the Office of Foreign Assets Control· nice to have
Additional subject matter experience with trade remedy investigations under U.S. antidumping and countervailing duty and safeguard laws· nice to have
