The role
Baker McKenzie is seeking a Real Estate Associate with 2-4 years of PQE to join its practice in Brisbane, Melbourne, or Sydney. This role is for lawyers with experience in commercial sales and acquisitions, leasing, and due diligence who are looking to develop their advisory skills in real estate matters across Australia, with a focus on Queensland and the renewables sector.

- Advise on matters throughout Australia
- Deliver advice on Queensland matters
- Deliver advice in the renewables space
What we're looking for
2-4 years' PQE gained at a top-tier or leading international law firm
Minimum 2 years' property law experience in commercial sales and acquisitions
Minimum 2 years' experience in commercial and retail leasing
Minimum 2 years' experience in real estate due diligence
Relevant legal qualifications
A strong client service orientation
Strong technical, drafting and commercial skills
Excellent analytical, communication, and research skills
A commitment to high work standards and strong attention to detail
An ability to demonstrate initiative and proactivity
An ability to develop strong relationships with clients and to take responsibility for this relationship
An ability to work well in a team environment
A willingness to learn
Relevant experience in a top tier or leading international firm preferred· nice to have
