Casualty Fraud Solicitor or Legal Exec at Weightmans

The role

Weightmans is seeking a Casualty Fraud Solicitor or Legal Executive with 0-7 years of PQE to join their Insurance and Litigation practice in Manchester. The role will involve managing a caseload of predominantly fast-track fixed fee casualty claims with a focus on EL/PL and highways matters.

What you'll do

Manage own caseload of predominantly fast track fixed fee claims (and/ or some multi track depending on experience)
Liaise with clients, opponents, court, witnesses
Undertake own liability investigations
Complete MI procedures as and when required
Achieve set financial and chargeable targets
Ensure relevant deadlines, SLAs, quality measures and KPI’s are adhered to
Comply with relevant policies and procedures
Work in accordance with Weightmans’ values

What we're looking for

Previous experience at managing defendant EL/PL casualty claims is essential

Experienced solicitor/ legal executives up to 7 years PQE

Genuine interest in claims validation and fraud

Working knowledge of PL, EL and Highways Law

Experience of handling own casualty caseload

Good influencing skills

Excellent communication skills

Excellent interpersonal and team working skills

Casualty insurance claims background is essential

Previous experience at managing defendant EL/PL specific fraud claims is desirable· nice to have

Experience of defendant local authority insurance claims are also desirable· nice to have

Fraud handling experience is desirable· nice to have
