The role
Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher is seeking an experienced Lateral Associate with 4-7 years of PQE to join its Appellate and Constitutional Law practice group in Washington D.C. The role focuses on appellate litigation, with an emphasis on brief writing and legal strategy.
What you'll do
- Research and drafting motions and briefs
- Legal research and analysis
- Case/client management
- Assisting with dispositive motions and other key submissions in trial court
- Advising on general legal strategy in pretrial and trial proceedings
- Participating in the notice-and-comment process before regulatory agencies
What we're looking for
Experience in law school class years 2019 through 2022
Prior experience with appellate litigation in state or federal court
Strong interest in brief writing
Willingness to contribute to briefing and legal strategy in both trial and appellate courts
District court or appellate court clerkship experience· nice to have
