Legal consultant (interim) – 7+ PQE - Real Estate - UAE at A&O Shearman

The role

A&O Shearman is seeking an interim Legal Consultant with 7+ years of PQE in Real Estate to join their Dubai office. This role is for experienced lawyers looking to undertake assignments, with a focus on real estate planning, development, and transactions.

What you'll do

Provide advice and negotiate infrastructure contracts, such as land leases, corridor license agreements, utility agreements, master agreements, construction agreements, infrastructure arrangements plus port licences and general land & infrastructure matter
Support the related real estate aspects of various business activities including: corporate deals, lending and JV work
Work with a variety of clients including retail, malls and hotels

What we're looking for

Minimum of four years' post-qualification experience at a law firm ranked as top tier for commercial real estate work

Experience in the Middle East

Fluency in Arabic

A practising certificate (or equivalent) which entitles them to practise as a lawyer in the region

Recent in-house legal experience in a recognised organisation· nice to have
