The role
Sparke Helmore is seeking a Senior Associate to Special Counsel with 5+ years of PQE in their Insurance practice group in Perth. This role will involve providing strategic advice on complex workers' compensation disputes and risk management initiatives, working with partners Rani Aria Retnam and Sue Wilkinson.

- Collaborate closely with highly regarded Partners
- Lead complex matters for employers and insurers
- Provide strategic advice on workers compensation disputes
- Provide strategic advice on broader risk management initiatives
- Take ownership of high-value files
- Mentor junior lawyers
- Contribute to the development of best-practice strategies
What we're looking for
5+ years PQE from a reputable firm
Strong defendant focus in insurance
Proven expertise in personal injury and workers' compensation matters
Ability to provide strategic advice and manage teams on complex matters
Exceptional drafting and analytical skills
Meticulous attention to detail
Ability to deliver commercially sound solutions
Plaintiff experience will be considered where transferable skills are demonstrated· nice to have
