The role

Sparke Helmore is seeking a Lawyer or Associate with 1+ years of PQE to join their Public Sector practice group in Melbourne, Australia. The role involves acting for government clients and advising on administrative and regulatory matters, with opportunities for advocacy.

What you'll do

Act for a range of Commonwealth and Victorian government clients
Advise on a diverse range of administrative and regulatory matters
Be involved in regular advocacy work in Federal Courts, the Administrative Review Tribunal, Victorian State Courts and the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal

What we're looking for

At least 12 months experience working in a well-regarded litigation practice

Demonstrated interest in administrative law

Experience ideally in administrative / public law with merits and judicial review exposure

Advocacy experience in the Administrative Review Tribunal, Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal, Federal Courts and/or the Victorian Courts· nice to have
