Associate (2-3 PQE) - Contentious Construction at Mishcon de Reya

The role

Mishcon de Reya is seeking an Associate with 2-3 years of PQE in Contentious Construction law to join their London office. This role will focus on advising clients on construction disputes through various legal processes.

What you'll do

Advise on all stages of construction disputes, including pre-action
Represent clients through the courts (including the Technology and Construction Court)
Handle adjudications
Engage in various forms of alternative dispute resolution including mediation

What we're looking for

A good foundation in contentious construction law

2-3 years' PQE

Trained and qualified with a reputable City law firm or large national firm equivalent

Strong academic record

Good drafting and negotiating skills

Excellent attention to detail

Ability to effectively manage own workload

Ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels

Personable and confident, able to build relationships with partners/ key stakeholders

Resilient and calm under pressure

Adaptable and flexible approach

Pro-active and takes initiative

Assertive, focused with strong interpersonal skills to be able to present themselves in a confident manner to clients

Organizational and prioritizing skills are also essential

Good teamwork skills
