Associate, Disputes

The role

White & Case is seeking an Associate, Disputes with 0-2 years of experience to join their Litigation practice in Los Angeles. This role is for an early-career lawyer focused on developing foundational legal skills in dispute resolution and supporting senior lawyers with various case-related tasks.

What you'll do

• Conduct research on legal issues, applicable law, and statutes to support case preparation and strategy
• Draft basic legal documents, including pleadings, motions and discovery requests under the guidance of more senior lawyers
• Organize and maintain case files, ensuring all documents are up-to-date and readily accessible
• Assist with the discovery process by reviewing documents, managing evidence and preparing discovery materials
• Attend hearings and depositions to observe and assist senior lawyers, taking detailed notes during proceedings
• Handle basic day-to-day communication with clients to gather information and respond to inquiries
• Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings and filing documents
