Principal Associate - Construction Disputes at Mills & Reeve

The role

Mills & Reeve seeks a Principal Associate with 8+ years of PQE to join their Construction Disputes team in London. This role focuses on defending construction professionals in professional indemnity claims for a client base of insurers and syndicates.

What you'll do

Defend construction professionals on professional indemnity claims
Advise insurers on construction coverage matters
Deliver exceptional client service
Supervise work of other fee earners

What we're looking for

8+ years PQE

Strong experience in professional indemnity and/or commercial litigation

Solid experience advising insurers on construction coverage matters

Demonstrated ability to manage complex and high-value professional indemnity claims

Exceptional communication skills

Strong commercial acumen

Lateral thinking and problem-solving skills

Excellent interpersonal and team skills

Ability to work with others, influence and persuade

Enthusiasm for helping others to grow and develop and being able to supervise work of other fee earners

Effective time and matter management

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a wider team structure

Self-starting with the ability to take the initiative and adapt quickly to change

Strong client relationship and client management skills
