The role
K&L Gates seeks a Junior Commercial Disputes Associate with 2-3 years of PQE for its Pittsburgh office. This role will focus on general commercial litigation, multi-district litigation, and class actions in state and federal courts.
What you'll do
Conduct research independently
Draft substantive pleadings and motions
Organize, conduct and manage the discovery practice, including e-discovery
Work closely with experienced lawyers
Assume increasing levels of responsibility and client contact
What we're looking for
J.D. from an accredited law school
Admitted to or eligible to sit for the Pennsylvania bar
Two to three years of experience with general commercial litigation matters, multi-district litigation, or class actions in state and federal courts
Experience independently conducting research
Experience drafting substantive pleadings and motions
Experience organizing, conducting and managing the discovery practice, including e-discovery
Strong academic credentials
Excellent communication skills
Commitment to providing the highest quality client service
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Clerkship experience preferred but not required· nice to have
