Managing Associate - Projects, Infrastructure & Construction - Non-Contentious at TLT

The role

TLT is seeking a non-contentious Managing Associate for its Projects, Infrastructure & Construction team. This role requires 6+ PQE and is open to candidates based in Birmingham, Edinburgh, or Glasgow, offering flexible hybrid working.

What you'll do

Support with key mandates across non-contentious construction work, with appropriate levels of Partner support
Support clients on real estate development, energy, infrastructure, housing and student accommodation projects
Participate in business development activity to strengthen the team and firm client base
Supervise Associates, Paralegals and Trainees, to support them in their development
Develop your skills, knowledge and construction law expertise
Delegate to and receive support from Senior Associates, Associates, Trainees and Paralegals
Support the Partner team on tenders and contribute to team strategic planning

What we're looking for

6 PQE+

Qualified Solicitor (registered with the Law Society, SRA or equivalent)

Already operating at a senior level

Construction experience gained within a highly regarded Construction and Projects team

Well versed in dealing with standard industry forms with expertise in non-contentious matters

Experience in building and maintaining strong client relationships

Experience of supervising and/or managing Associates, Trainees and/or Paralegals

Able to demonstrate first class communication skills with the ability and confidence to engage with clients and colleagues at all levels

Able to confidently provide strategic advice to a variety of TLT clients

Active, senior member of the team at TLT, with the commitment to developing the firm’s offering locally and nationally

Mixed contentious and non-contentious practice· nice to have

Experience of working on real estate development or public sector matters· nice to have
